Meet Joel Mills
Joel Mills began his career as an amateur winemaker in 1990.
His first wines made from Buffalo red grapes and Palomino grapes
were a pallatable success, but he wanted to do better. He studied
text from the University of California-Davis viticulture program and
began making wine with the vinifera grapes from Yakima Valley.
By 1994 he was ready to try his hand at commercial wine making. His
success began the launch of Widgeon Hill Winery in 1996. His efforts
speak for themselves in the award winning and quality fine wines he
now produces.
